Cuban Cohiba cigars are made by Habanos SA Company, which is a state-owned company run by the Cuban government. The Cuban Cohiba cigar is made with premium quality cigar tobacco leaves and the cigar tobacco leaves of this cigar have been put through a longer or extended fermentation process than regular cigars. As a result, the Cuban-version-brand of Cohiba cigar is a top-quality or top-notch cigar product.

Moreover, the Cuban Cohiba cigar tobacco comes from some of the finest or first-rate tobacco fields in all of Cuba.

Not only is this Cohiba tobacco first-rate in overall quality, but also the Cuban Cohiba cigar is subjected to an extra fermentation process in barrels or special containers. Unlike the Cuban Cohiba cigars, the Dominican Republic Cohiba cigars are made by General Cigar Company, Inc. In fact, General Cigar Company is a business based in the U.S.A.

 

As a result, General Cigar Co. manufactures and markets Cohiba brand cigars from quality Dominican Republic tobacco fields for the U.S.A. market. It is also very important to note that the Cohiba brand made by General Cigar is in no way affiliated with Cuban Cohiba cigars.

 

Cohiba cigars made by General Cigar are very high quality and have   medium-to-full body flavor. The General Cigar Cohiba product label has a special “red dot” in the middle of the letter “o” in Cohiba. Again, Cohiba is classified as a premium or high-quality cigar brand from General Cigar Co. It is an excellent choice, since the Cuban Cohiba is banned in the U.S.A. market and is every bit as good as the Cuban Cohiba.
